We asked Miss Martina, our year two mother tongue teacher to tell us about her experience with distance learning:
During these lockdown weeks in my year two class we have looked at adjectives and used them to describe people and things. Thanks to the constant learning of new terms, children are able to write longer and more articulated sentences. In science lessons we learned how plants drink water by making a colour related experiment. We also observed how things change and we even turned milk into butter!
The children have been getting very involved and working very hard on even the most structured activities, allowing me to evaluate them successfully every week through spelling and phonetics tests.
Finally, we created a new playful song to teach everyone what to do during this health emergency. This is also raising funds for hospitals!
